Like the other books in the series, it was fun until the ending when the bad guys folded like wet cardboard, leaving the good guys to win the day too easily. The rest of the series is a nice balance of light humor and a touch of danger. This book lacks much of the humor, emotional closeness between the usual characters and unusual plots that make the rest of the series so enjoyable. Swendson's villains have always been rather lightweight, but the first villain here really doesn't seem either very real or threatening enough, and the second villain is almost a non-entity. Another problem is that I was missing Katie's interactions with her roommates. They were largely responsible for keeping the other books grounded (along with her family's contributions), but only had a few scenes in this story. I hope the next book in the series remembers Katie's roots better than this one did.Product details

Recipe for fun magic, romance, a villain out for world domination, and an undercover mission. All the while having to plan a wedding, kissing frogs and stopping the bad guys. Katie Chandler may be a magical immune but she has her own brand of magic, which she puts to good use in stopping the bad guys. Couldn't put the book down!
Oh my! I have been waiting ever so long for this book and it was worth the wait. This is the latest book in the series and they are all built on the one prior, so no cheating and reading this one first. Shanna Swedson is fabulous and really knows how to deliver fun and suspense with a dash of romance all at the same time.
What a welcome return to this series. I hope the writer does continue on with this series as I absolutely loved it. Yes, there was a minor problem with the plot - there didn't seem to be any real need for the bad guys to have Katie there as any immune could have done what she did. But what the hey! I love the series, I love the book. May you please continue.
I was so excited to hear this book was in the works. I love this series and can't get enough of Owen and Katie. This book doesn't disappoint. Humor, thrills and romance, what more can you ask for? I'm off to kiss some frogs, who knows when one might be a prince?
Confession This series is one of my guilty pleasures. They can be at times predictable, but in a warm and comfortable way, and they're just as likely to surprise you, too. Plus, there's so much cleverness in the inherent rules of the world in which this story is set, that I couldn't help but fall in love.
I enjoyed this installment as much as the others, and haven't felt letdown whatsoever. I look forward to hopefully reading more in the future - don't end it here )
Owen, Katie, and a whole lot of frogs. This latest instalment of the Enchanted Inc. series delivers what it promises, and moves the story along in a most satisfying way. If in the first book Katie was surprised that kissing frogs really does occasionally turn up a prince, here the issue is put to the test in a way she had never expected. But by now she is so experienced in the world of magic that frog-kissing is the least of her worries - especially when one of those frogs might just be someone she cares very much about... It's all in a day's work in the world of magical law enforcement.
FROGS AND KISSES, the 8th book in the Enchantment, Inc. series by Shanna Swendson, was everything I wanted to reset me for this holiday season. I find this series to be the ultimate literary escapism for me and my favorite guilty pleasure. They have magic, mayhem, and romance. They make you smile and keep your imagination going even if you know the good guys will always win. I thought this series was over so I missed that she came out with a 8th book that follows Katie and Owen as they have to take down a rival company from the inside before it takes over MSI. If you are looking for some funny, loveable, and magical chick lit/contemporary fantasy, look no further than this enjoyable series.
