I liked this book, it was really fun to read. Hard Fantasy isn't usually my thing, I prefer apocalyptia* and dystopian genres, but I'm glad I gave "fairyland" a chance. I do have a suggestion for Mr. Ahlborg, though. Have someone who speaks English as a first language proofread your books. There were quite a few grammatical errors, and though they really didn't detract from the book as a whole, they're there and would be super easy to fix. Heck, I'll do it ! Anyway, it's still a five star book, because I know if I attempted to write a book in another language I'd be lucky if it were even halfway legible. Fairyland has an interesting story, pretty cool concepts, and is overall a good read for all ages. Recommended!Product details

I try to be nice about books because I understand that it takes a lot to write and finish one. This book left me cold. There were numerous spelling and formatting errors, and there didn't seem to be much of a story. I couldn't find anything about the characters that I liked, and it took all my willpower to just finish the book.
Either this is English as a 2nd language or intended for young children. Spelling and grammar problems really wounded what had the potential to be an interesting read.
Fast paced, clever and very entertaining. Ahlborg hooks you early and never lets go! Obviously expectations on the sequel are very high.
Fun and breezy, for all lovers of fantasy comedy. Easily as fun as Tom Holt and Christoper Moore. Solid performance. Reads fast and focus its comedy on dialogue and absurd situations. Favorite part was Nezz and Cat.
A beautiful written saga that both touched the heart and made me laugh. Sometimes you have to read a few chapters of a book to see if it catches you interest, this however had me at the first page. The book has colorful descriptions, interesting characters, witty, sharp and fluent dialogue. I highly recommend reading this book, look forward to book 2.
Amusing, light reading. I was entertained, felt that it was a good value.
Interesting concept but the writing was so atrocious I couldn't even get past the first 30 pages.
